Dovery Manor Museum
At the historic village of Porlock, in the Exmoor National Park, UK
We very much regret that the Museum has limited wheelchair access as it is a listed 15th century Manor House. The Entrance and Great Hall are accessible, though much depends on the width of the wheelchair. The upper rooms can be reached only by stairs.
The upper floors of the museum can only be accessed by stairs. Internally a steep, narrow, spiral stone staircase may present a challenge to those of limited mobility. Alternative external access is available to the rear of the museum, where wide paved steps lead to an entrance into the first floor 'Solar' room. To reach the other first floor room there is a small set of conventional stairs.
If you wish to visit and can provide us with a time frame we would endeavour to do what we can to assist, welcome and be on hand to talk to you about the collection and the history of the building.
